This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, the guru of Ananda Marga, affectionately known as Baba. The centenary celebrations include a film, exhibition and photo book.
Embodiment of Bliss: The Life and Legacy of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti is a feature-length documentary film produced for the occasion of the birth centenary of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti which takes us on a whirlwind tour of the life of a modern-day tantric guru, spiritual master and social revolutionary extraordinaire.
Screenings this year (2021) will be exclusively through global online events. Over 1,000 people viewed the three premiere screenings around Baba’s birthday. I’m not going to let you go for this. Whoever you are that made this documentary should be ashamed of themselves. You’ve been told over and over again that Baba himself did not permit documentaries to be made on himself and yet you continue to promote this nonsense embodiment of our guru documentary. Baba himself did not want you people to focus on him and his physical body. That’s why he said if you want to understand me now then I’ve now merged myself with my mission. Like most people though you’re very self-centered and you only care about your Hollywood style documentary on a man who is very private and that even went as far as telling all his followers that there are only three pictures you can use of his. If you can only use three of his pictures then where did you get the idea that he would like a whole documentary made on himself? Once again Baba wanted the focus on his mission not himself. This is the last time I’m going to say this, you are disrespecting Baba because he’s not in his physical form and you know if he was he would call you up and tell you to stop this documentary right now. So I advise you get rid of this documentary and for other future margiis please do not make any more documentaries on Baba. For the life of God just respect your guru’s wishes already.
